FeelThere presents LaGuardia airport scenery for X-plane 11 with its renewed design. This emblematic airport that serves the city of New York will present itself completely renovated in 2023, but you can have it now on your X-plane 11 and fly into the future.
LaGuardia airport is located north of the Queens area (about 13 km from downtown Manhattan) and is the main air terminal in New York City for domestic flights. Because it is not a strictly international airport like Newark or JFK, almost all flights departing from LaGuardia are destined within the United States of America destinations and within a radius of 2400 km. However, there are a number of exceptions where flights come from cities such as Ottawa and Toronto in Canada, Freeport and Nassau in the Bahamas, and Bermuda.
Due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, air traffic has suffered a huge reduction in terms of operations and number of passengers and the United States has not been the exception. But this has been to some extent an opportunity for some airports to make infrastructure works that, if they were operating at normal levels, would have been extremely hard to carry out.
That is the case of LaGuardia, which is currently in the process of a major remodeling in three of its four terminals. This airport has not been over time the most appreciated by passengers who must take flights from New York City, quite the opposite. As an example, Terminal B was built in 1964 and has hardly changed since then. For most North American passengers, LaGuardia was among the most obsolete, noisiest and least accessible airports in the country; not to mention his punctuality record, which is one of the worst in the United States.
But this is changing, since this great remodeling of its terminals will make LaGuardia a much more modern, efficient and friendly airport for the passengers who transit it. The redesign phases will be completely over in 2023, but you can already have it on your X-plane 11 based on rendered plans of the new terminals, 4K textures and highly detailed 3D models.
These are some of the features of this scenery:
- High detail models.
- Detailed satellite imagery surrounding the airport.
- Auto gate animated jetways (free SAM plugin required).
- Highly detailed textures with reflections and night lighting.
- 3D grass.
- 4K asphalt and concrete ground textures that cover the entire airport.
System Requirements:
- Requires X-Plane 11.53 or newer version.
LaGuardia has two short runways (04-22 and 13-31) of just over 2,100 meters long and is mostly surrounded by water; so you will have to adjust your landings and accurately calculate your takeoff performance if you don’t want to end up floating in the waters of Flushing Bay. Among pilots, this airport is known as “USS LaGuardia” because it gives the feeling of landing on an aircraft carrier.
So start planning your flights from the renovated KLGA to the entire United States because you already have this airport available for your X-plane 11 on our website.

Los Angeles International (KLAX) soon for Microsoft Flight Simulator
The largest and busiest airport on the west coast of the United States will also be available soon for your MSFS2020. The air terminal of the always busy Los Angeles is one of the international gateways from all over the world to North America.
The airport holds the record for the world’s busiest origin and destination airport as, compared to other airports, far more travelers start or end their journeys in Los Angeles than use it as a connection. It is also the only airport in the top five in the United States for passenger and cargo traffic at the same time.
LAX has more nonstop flights than any other airport in the world, serving more than 60 million passengers and moving more than 2 million tons of cargo. For its passenger traffic it is third in the U.S. (after O’Hare in Chicago and JFK in NYC). In terms of international passengers, it is second in the United States, behind John F. Kennedy International Airport, but only twentieth in the world. It is an important connection point for United Airlines and a priority one for American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Alaska Airlines and Southwest Airlines.
This fantastic airport is divided into two sectors, north and south, with two parallel runways on each side (06-24 L/R to the north and 07-25 L/R to the south). Takeoffs and landings are made from both sides, depending on the position where the airlines go on board their passengers and the departure and arrival routes in flight, depending on the origin or destination of each flight.
It is very common to see almost simultaneous takeoff and landing operations on its parallel and very close runways, it is an incredible show. Also it is an airport that has several points around it that are used by spotters to capture images of the planes taking off or landing. Especially when the planes approach from the east and take off towards the Pacific waters, flying over Manhattan Beach and the Marina del Rey.
A very famous spot to see the planes is at the end of runways 24L and 24R, in a grassy area next to the fast food restaurant In-N-Out Burger in the West Chester neighborhood. It is one of the few places in southern California they remain where a variety of commercial airliners can be seen flying at very low altitudes.
Very soon you will be able to get this amazing airport and add it to your Microsoft Flight Simulator.
