YMML – Melbourne International Airport
Melbourne Airport (ICAO: YMML) is the main international gateway to the state of Victoria and one of Australia’s busiest airports. Located approximately 23 kilometers northwest of Melbourne, the airport handles more than 35 million passengers each year and serves an extensive network of domestic and international destinations.
Melbourne Airport operates two main runways, 09/27 and 16/34, which accommodate everything from regional aircraft to the largest long-haul jets. The airport is a major hub for Qantas and Virgin Australia, generating a constant flow of arrivals and departures throughout the day and night. Its complex taxiway layout, multiple terminals, and heavy traffic levels make Melbourne Airport one of the most dynamic and strategically important airports in the Southern Hemisphere.
