⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was waiting for an Asian hub and VTBS delivered. Managing the three parallel runways is a blast once you get the flow down. The night lighting is some of the best I’ve seen in the sim—the distant city lights and the illuminated airport area really give it that authentic Bangkok vibe. Runs super smooth even when I’ve got the gates packed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They really nailed the scale of the world’s tallest tower here. You get such a good vantage point of the whole field. The OSM background data makes the surrounding area feel way more realistic than the default scenery. If you want a busy, high-stakes international airport that isn’t just another US hub, grab this one.

Pronounced “su-wan-na-poom” meaning ‘The Golden Land’, it is one of the largest and busiest airports in Southeast Asia and is a major cargo air freight hub for the region.There are a total of 3 parallel runways, the third being completed in early 2024, along with a new satellite concourse supporting 8 more super jumbo gates.

When first opened in 2006, Suvarnabhumi held the record for the worlds tallest control tower at 132.2m. The airport was ranked number 48 among the world’s top 100 airports in 2020. The airport’s two paralell runways can accommodate 64 flights per hour (simultaneous departures and arrivals). At peak times the runways average 63 flights per hour.
