[MMPR] – Puerto Vallarta Airport – Tower! Simulator 3

(IATA: PVR | ICAO: MMPR) Situated north of downtown Puerto Vallarta, a few minutes from Marina Vallarta, México. MMPR serves as the main gateway to this stunning coastal destination, offering convenient access to the picturesque beaches and vibrant attractions of the region. As the fifth busiest airport in México for international passanger traffic, Puerto Vallarta Airport continues to grow in popularity, welcoming a significant number of passengers each year. The airport connects travelers to 52 destinations, including 13 domestic and 39 international, served by 24 airlines.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love the atmosphere of this airport. It’s a nice change of pace from the massive US hubs. You get a cool mix of local Mexican carriers like Volaris and Aeromexico, plus a ton of ‘heavies’ coming in from the US and Canada. The terminal modeling is super sharp and seeing the tropical scenery from the tower view is a nice touch!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Puerto Vallarta is my go-to when I want a chill but busy session. The taxiway layout is straightforward, so you don’t get the massive gridlocks, but you still have to be quick with the backtrack commands. The night lighting on the runway is beautiful. Definitely worth it if you want a high-quality international destination.

Terminals
This airport has two terminals: A and B. Terminal A is for national flights and Terminal B is for International flights. It also has an FBO terminal. It’s airstrip is 10,170 ft-long by 147 meters-wide.

The airport has two levels. Ground (main) level’s accessibility is directly from street; it has airline check-in counters (for both domestic and international) and the common airport services: restaurants, shops, post office, bank and currency exchange house.

Terminal A – Gates 1-5A for domestic flights
Terminal B – Gates 6-20B for all international flights

Runways
It presents a single runway, designated as 04/22, measuring 3,100 metres (10,200 ft) in length with an asphalt surface. The commercial aviation apron has 12 parking positions next to the terminal and eight remote positions. The general aviation apron provides stands for fixed-wing aircraft and heliports for private aviation.
